Living in Bangkok

Choosing the right area for you
Bangkok, known in Thai as Krungthep, the city of angels, is the capital of Thailand. Over 10 million people of diverse backgrounds – Thais and foreigners – live and work in this metropolis. Thailand is famous for its exotic beauty, but aside from cultural treasures such as temples and palaces, visitors to Bangkok will also find the cosmopolitan amenities other world-class cities provide. Whether you choose to live in downtown near the business district or in the suburbs away from the hustle and bustle, Bell Real Estate can help you find what you’re looking for.

Living in the city
Bangkok’s major business districts are centered around the Sukhumvit Road and Silom-Sathorn Road areas. Conveniently, the two major Skytrain routes run through both areas, making travel through the city quick and easy. Many types of accommodation are available, but as is common in big cities, most people choose to live in one of the many luxury high-rise condominiums or serviced apartments that make up a major part of the Bangkok skyline.

Living in the suburbs
The suburbs are quieter and less crowded than downtown. Those who enjoy the outdoors will appreciate having more space. While some people may still opt for a condominium or apartment, you will find it much easier to find a single house with a yard. But don’t think that being away from the city means being away from convenience! Many suburban neighborhoods, such as Nichadathani, are located near schools, shopping centers and hospitals. More importantly, with Bangkok’s extensive expressway network, the city center is just a short drive away.
